A brand new Tom Weisskopf 18-hole signature desert course was opened in 2001 in Cabo del Sol, his first in Mexico.
Designed to spread across 140 acres of gently rolling desert terrain, this ''target style'' golf course also incorporates large landing areas and new forced carries to ensure an enjoyable golfing experience for players of all levels. The construction costs of the Cabo del Sol Desert Golf Course were over $12 million and the course itself offers spectacular desert and ocean views.
Completely different in style and topography from the Nicklaus course at Cabo del Sol, Weiskopf's design is a fitting contribution to golf in Los Cabos. Thirty six thousand rounds are played annually at the Cabo del Sol Desert Golf Course.
